Design for Social Impact: Health & Ecological Initiatives
Design for Social Impact: Health & Ecological Initiatives
Design is not just about aesthetics; it is a strategic tool for social innovation and behavioral change. In this collection of community initiatives with JCI Ariana and local youth clubs, I applied human-centered design to address critical public health and sustainability challenges. The objective was to transform complex institutional goals into engaging, actionable visual campaigns that drive tangible, real-world impact.

I engineered a 360-degree emotional visual storytelling ecosystem for the 38th and 39th
Mi-Ramadan campaigns.
Rather than relying on generic donation pleas,
I developed a cohesive visual architecture spanning animated videos, targeted social media banners,
radio promotional assets, and specialized corporate sponsorship files.
The design language was intentionally crafted
to bridge the emotional gap between potential
donors and the invisible, urgent needs of the patients.

The strategic visual campaign drove massive community engagement, successfully resulting in the sale of 280+ event tickets.
The funds raised directly financed the acquisition of life-saving medical hardware for the hospital, including Optical Microscopes, Electrocardiographs (ECG), and Digital Thermostatic Water Baths.

Translating abstract, institutional sustainability concepts-such as water scarcity and energy conservation-into actionable practices for children aged 6-12 is notoriously difficult.
The challenge was that traditional awareness posters often fail to trigger actual behavioral change in younger demographics.

I pivoted from passive visual communication to "Gamified Experiential Design."
First, I developed a minimalist, high-recall visual metaphor ("Earth preserved within
a water droplet") to anchor the campaign's identity.
Second, I designed and co-led a 2-day interactive environmental bootcamp for JCI Ariana. Instead of lectures, I structured 4 active learning modules utilizing visual arts, digital collage, and a "Water Ambassador" roleplay game to make the abstract concepts deeply immersive.

The design intervention successfully educated 22+ children. More importantly,
it generated 22 verified "environmental pledges" signed jointly by the children
and their parents.
By designing a system of accountability, the campaign successfully bridged
the gap between classroom theory
and measurable, sustainable household habits.

The Khallik Écologique initiative actively contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by translating global environmental targets into actionable,
community-level practices.
Through interactive visual arts and targeted behavioral workshops, the project directly supports SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
By empowering youth to adopt and sign tangible environmental pledges, the campaign successfully bridges the gap between institutional sustainability objectives and measurable household habits.
